About the job

The Assistant Manager Audit is PERA's internal check on spending. Every payment case passes through pre-audit, and the officer also prepares the authority's side when the Accountant General's auditors raise questions.

Responsibilities

• Pre-audit all payment cases.
• Draft the annual internal audit plan and risk assessments.
• Conduct internal audits and follow up on how findings are implemented.
• Prepare half-yearly and annual internal audit reports.
• Draft replies to audit paras from the AG office and external auditors, and coordinate DAC and SDAC meetings.

Who can apply

• CA Inter, ACCA or ICMA with articles completed and 1 year's experience, or
• M.Com or MBA Finance with 2 years' experience.
• Age 23 to 55.
• Working knowledge of tax laws and ordinances.

Experience in a private firm counts only if the firm is registered with the SECP, the Registrar of Firms or another public-sector regulator.

About the advertisement

PERA was set up under the Punjab Enforcement and Regulation Act, 2024. These posts are filled under the PERA (Appointment and Conditions of Service for Contractual Employees) Regulations, 2026, on the Special PERA Pay Package (SPPP), which is negotiable, for an initial three years that can be extended on satisfactory performance.
