Assistant Manager Internal Affairs

These are the entry-level officers of PERA's Internal Affairs wing. Most of them will work in district enforcement teams, where they are the first line of checks on how enforcement staff treat citizens.

What you would do

• Work as the internal affairs officer for an assigned area.
• Check field staff for bribery, illegal gratification, harassment and misuse of authority.
• Verify complaints from citizens, supervisors and confidential sources.
• Carry out spot checks, surprise inspections and public feedback collection.
• Write short, evidence-based reports and flag cases that may need disciplinary proceedings.
• Watch high-risk enforcement points and officials with repeated complaints.

Requirements

• 16 years of education, as listed on the portal.
• 3 years' experience in the armed forces, police or another law enforcement agency; intelligence experience preferred.
• Age 25 to 60.
• MS Office skills and an understanding of regulatory and compliance work.

The portal lists a 16-year degree for this post, but the attached job description mentions HSSC-level education. Read the official advertisement before applying, and keep your degree and service record ready either way.

The 62 posts are split as 7 in Lahore, 3 in each of the 9 divisional headquarters and 1 in each of 28 district headquarters.

About the advertisement

PERA was set up under the Punjab Enforcement and Regulation Act, 2024. These posts are filled under the PERA (Appointment and Conditions of Service for Contractual Employees) Regulations, 2026, on the Special PERA Pay Package (SPPP), which is negotiable, for an initial three years that can be extended on satisfactory performance.

General instructions

• Apply online only, through the Punjab Job Portal, with all educational, experience and other documents uploaded. Incomplete applications are not considered.
• Applicants already in government, semi-government or autonomous service must apply through proper channel with a No Objection Certificate (NOC).
• Only shortlisted candidates are called for the test or interview, and no TA/DA is paid.
• Successful candidates get a provisional offer letter, subject to verification of degrees, experience certificates, NOC and antecedents.
• Canvassing or submitting false documents leads to disqualification at any stage.
• Experience in a private firm counts only if the firm is registered with the SECP, the Registrar of Firms or another public-sector regulator.
