Editorial policy

How HiredPK sources, verifies, updates and closes government job listings.

Last updated

Sources

Listings come only from primary sources: official department and commission websites, testing bodies, and advertisements published in national newspapers. Every listing names its source and links to it.

Verification

Before a listing is published we check, against the source:

  1. The recruiting department and the post title.
  2. The number of posts, pay scale (BPS) and salary where stated.
  3. Eligibility: qualification, experience, age limit, gender and domicile.
  4. The application method and the last date to apply.

Listings with missing or contradictory details are held back until they can be confirmed.

Writing

Summaries and descriptions are written in our own words to be clear and scannable. We do not copy advertisements wholesale. Where exact wording matters (for example eligibility conditions), we keep it faithful to the source.

Updates and closing

Corrigenda and date extensions are applied as soon as they are published. A job is marked closed the day after its last date and stays visible, labelled as closed, for 30 days before it is removed.
