Senior Registrar Cardiac Anesthesia

Senior Registrars run the day-to-day specialist work of a cardiac anesthesia unit under the professor: wards, theatre or clinics, and the training of postgraduate residents. These posts are for the Specialized Healthcare & Medical Education Department, Punjab, and PPSC does the selection.

Eligibility

• MBBS or equivalent from an institution recognised by the Pakistan Medical Commission.
• FCPS in Cardiac Anesthesia, American Board diplomate in Cardiac Anesthesia, FRCA with CST in Cardiac Anesthesia, or an equivalent PMC-recognised qualification.
• If no such candidate is available: FCPS, American Board diplomate, FRCA or MS in Anesthesia, plus one year's practical experience in Cardiac Anesthesia at a PMC-recognised institution.

• Age 25 to 50 for men and 25 to 53 for women. These limits already include the Punjab government's general relaxation (5 years for men, 8 for women); the age and sex of transgender candidates follow their CNIC.
• Place of posting: Various medical universities, colleges and hospitals in Punjab.

Terms

• Contract for 3 years, extendable on good performance.
• Domicile of any district of Punjab.

Registration and experience rules

• PMDC/PMC registration showing the required qualifications must be valid up to the closing date. If it has expired, proof that you applied for renewal on or before the closing date is accepted.
• Only practical experience after the prescribed qualification counts, in a recognised institution, certified by the appointing authority or PMDC/PMC with designation, pay scale, field and duration. Certificates must be backed by appointment letters or office orders.
• Contract, current-charge, acting-charge and ad-hoc service in government counts only if the appointing or competent authority (or PMDC/PMC) issues the certificate.
• OPS or designated-basis experience (up to 17 June 2021 only), Board of Management, Tenure Track and university-cadre service count only if PMDC/PMC recognises and certifies them. Certificates from the appointing authority and PMDC/PMC are not added together.
• Experience from foreign, autonomous or private institutions counts only if PMDC/PMC recognises and issues it.

• Private-sector experience counts only if the firm is registered with the SECP, the Registrar of Firms or another regulator for the whole period you claim. Bring proof at the interview.
• In-service candidates must have obtained or applied for an NOC/DPC from their department before applying.
• Professional registration (PEC, PNC, PMDC/PMC, PVMC or another regulator) must be obtained or applied for on or before the closing date.
• Bring marks or percentage certificates for every degree at the interview. CGPA alone is not accepted.
• If the department changes the number of posts, no fresh applications are invited.
