This case fills the senior field and headquarters posts of the Livestock & Dairy Development Department's Extension Wing (Animal Health Cadre). One application covers all the designations the advertisement lists at this level: Senior Veterinary Officer, Assistant Director (HQR), Deputy Director Livestock at tehsil level, AI&PO, Assistant Director (ARES), ARO (Animal Production), ARO (Milk & Marketing), SVO Animal Health Punjab, SVO Barani Areas PVTV Rawalpindi, SVO in charge of category-B veterinary hospitals, Assistant Chief (P&E) and ADIO.

Eligibility: any one of these routes

1. PhD in Veterinary Sciences or Animal Husbandry, with a basic veterinary degree. No experience is stated for this route.
2. MPhil or MSc (Hons) in Veterinary Sciences or Animal Husbandry (second division), with a basic veterinary degree and 3 years' experience in BS-17 or above.
3. Master's (second division) in Project Management, Management Sciences, Policy Studies, Economics, Development or Business Administration, with a basic veterinary degree and 4 years' experience in BS-17 or above.
4. DVM with 5 years' experience in BS-17.

Equivalent private-sector experience counts only if the Pakistan Veterinary Medical Council (PVMC) accredits it under the L&DD Department's SOP. Practical and administrative experience counts only after the prescribed qualification.

PVMC registration

• A valid PVMC registration certificate issued on or before the closing date is required.
• If you applied for first registration before the closing date and the certificate came later, you are still eligible.
• Candidates who applied to renew an expired registration after the closing date are also held eligible.

• Age 30 to 50 for men and 30 to 53 for women. These limits already include the Punjab government's general relaxation (5 years for men, 8 for women); the age and sex of transgender candidates follow their CNIC.
• Domicile: Punjab. Posting anywhere in Punjab.
• Contract for 5 years.

Written test

One MCQ paper of 100 marks, 90 minutes, if PPSC holds a test for this case.

• Syllabus: veterinary science and animal husbandry (100%).

• Professional registration (PEC, PNC, PMDC/PMC, PVMC or another regulator) must be obtained or applied for on or before the closing date.
• Bring marks or percentage certificates for every degree at the interview. CGPA alone is not accepted.
• If the department changes the number of posts, no fresh applications are invited.
