Assistant Manager Programming

A hands-on IT generalist post for a mid-career developer. You write the software the project team uses and keep its machines and network running.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement reliable software for the project's information processing needs.
• Install, configure, troubleshoot and maintain network hardware, servers and peripherals.
• Prepare dashboards with real-time information on civil works in the target cities.

Eligibility

• BS or BSc in computer science, IT or MIS.
• 3 years of relevant experience in programming or ICT.
• Maximum age 60.

About the project

PRMSC is a government-owned not-for-profit company, incorporated with the SECP under Section 42 of the Companies Act, 2017. It runs the World Bank-funded Punjab Rural Sustainable Water Supply and Sanitation Project (PRSWSSP) in 16 selected tehsils of Punjab. These head-office posts are project contracts on the PPS (project pay scale).

Instructions

• Apply online through the Punjab Job Portal and attach copies of educational certificates, degrees, experience certificates and other supporting documents.
• All degrees must be from HEC-recognised institutions.
• The newspaper advertisement gives the last date as Monday, 26 October 2026; the portal lists 27 October 2026. Apply by the 26th to be safe.
• Applicants already in government, semi-government or autonomous service must apply through proper channel with a No Objection Certificate (NOC). Applications without an NOC, or with an expired one, are not entertained.
• Only shortlisted candidates are called for interview, and no TA/DA is paid. With many applicants PRMSC may shortlist further.
• Female candidates are encouraged to apply.
• The portal asks for a domicile certificate for these posts. Punjab residents can request one at home through the government's Dastak service (call 1202 or use the Dastak app).
