Alkhidmat Academic Scholarship

Alkhidmat Foundation has worked in humanitarian service since 1990, and education is one of its oldest areas of work. Its Academic Scholarship links a donor with a talented student who cannot afford college, university, medical college or a technical institute, regardless of caste, creed, gender, religion or politics. It has 6,250 alumni and supports about 1,570 students at 160 institutions today.

The support is a monthly amount by programme: Rs 9,000 a month for graduation, BS (Hons) and master's students, and Rs 11,500 for engineering, medical and associate engineering students, for the length of the programme. The focus is tuition, but depending on a student's needs it can also help with books, boarding and other study costs.

Scholars are chosen on results, potential and real need, through evaluations, interviews and background checks, and most awards are renewed each year as long as the grades hold and the need continues.
