The Director General sets the direction of the Pakistan Institute of Education: national learning assessments, education data systems, research and policy advice to the federal government, and Pakistan's part in international benchmarking.
What the job involves
- Lead the institute's strategic plan, reforms and performance management.
- Oversee research, policy analysis, national assessments and data products.
- Advise the government on education policy, planning and learning outcomes.
- Build partnerships with federal and provincial governments, academia and development partners.
Eligibility
- PhD, or a master's, in Social Sciences, Management, Public Policy, Administrative Sciences, or Numerical/Mathematical Sciences with Data Science.
- 7 years of professional experience with a PhD, or 9 years with a master's.
- Merit (open) quota; post and test in Islamabad. Age up to 62.
Contract for three years initially, extendable on satisfactory performance.
