Chairman, OGRA

OGRA regulates Pakistan's midstream and downstream oil and gas sector. The Chairman leads the Authority, sets and carries out its regulatory strategy within the goals of the OGRA Board, and manages its relations with industry and government.

Eligibility

• At least a master's (16 years) from an HEC-recognised university in law, business, engineering, finance, accounting, economics, petroleum, technology, public administration, management or sector regulation. A foreign degree is an advantage.
• 20 years' experience in large public or private organisations, including at least 3 years as head of an organisation.
• Pakistani citizen, not more than 61 on the last date.
• No financial interest in, or connection with, anyone in a regulated oil or gas activity.

Pay equivalent to SPPS-I. The first term is four years, renewable once or until age 65. Government servants apply through proper channel and must resign or retire before joining if selected.
