IT and Data Specialist

The specialist leads the ministry's climate data repository and keeps its digital systems running, from local servers and network policies to the website, official email and e-office.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of a data repository for climate-related data and environmental monitoring.
• Manage IT infrastructure, inventory, procurement and software and hardware licensing.
• Set up and maintain the local server and network policies; maintain the website and upload reports, maps and publications.
• Run e-office, official email and task monitoring, and support e-governance in the ministry's projects.

Eligibility

• A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or Computer Systems Engineering (BS, BE, MSc, MS or MCS; BBA/MBA in IT also listed).
• 8 years of experience.
• Windows and Linux, programming (Python, Java, PHP), web development, databases and networking (LAN/WAN, firewalls, routers, switches).
• Age up to 52.
