Steno Typist

Steno typists handle dictation, typing and correspondence in the department's offices.

Eligibility

• Bachelor's in at least second division (or equivalent CGPA) from an HEC-recognised university.
• Six-month shorthand and English typing certificate and an MS Office certificate from SBTE-recognised institutes.
• 120 wpm shorthand and 35 wpm English typing on computer.
• Age 21 to 28.
• You need a Sukkur IBA Testing Service (STS) General Screening Test certificate in the right category with at least 40%.

About this recruitment

Regular posts in the Information Department, open to men and women with a Sindh domicile and PRC. Posts are split between rural and urban Sindh quotas.

General instructions

• Applicants must have passed the STS General Screening Test (bachelor's, intermediate or matric category) with at least 40% marks, conducted by Sukkur IBA Testing Service.
• Age is counted on the closing date; upper age relaxation up to 5 years under the Sindh notification of 6 March 2025.
• 15% of posts are for women, 5% for minorities and 5% for disabled candidates, under Sindh law and policy.
• Appointments are under the Defined Contribution Pension Scheme 2024 and the Sindh Civil Servants Act 1973.
• Government employees need a NOC. Candidates appear before the Departmental Selection Committee with original documents; no TA/DA.
