Soldier and Naib Khateeb (JCO) Recruitment

The Army's rolling recruitment of soldiers (sipahi) and junior commissioned officers. All jobs are pensionable. Married and unmarried men from Pakistan, AJK and Gilgit-Baltistan can apply.

Trades and requirements

• Soldier, General Duty / Driver: matric or above (middle for Balochistan, merged KP districts and children of shuhada); height 5'6" (167.5 cm).
• Soldier, Military Police: at least matric; height 5'8" (173 cm).
• Soldier, Technical trade: matric science with at least C grade, higher education preferred; height 5'6".
• Soldier, Clerk: intermediate (C grade) or above, D grade for Balochistan, merged KP districts and Gilgit-Baltistan; computer diploma preferred; height 5'3" (160 cm).
• Soldier, Cook: middle or above, cooking experience preferred; height 5'3".
• Sanitary worker: up to primary; age 17.5 to 35.
• Junior Commissioned Officer (Naib Khateeb): Dars-e-Nizami from an HEC-verified madrassa and at least FA/FSc; age 20 to 28 on 24 November 2026 (serving soldiers 22 to 35); height 5'3". Arabic, Qirat and Hifz are an advantage.

Age and relaxations

• Age 17.5 to 23 for soldier trades.
• Upper limit relaxed by one year for graduates, and by two years for families of shuhada and war-wounded and for driving licence holders (who also get preference).
• Three years for candidates domiciled in Balochistan and the merged districts of KP, with height relaxed by up to 2 inches there and in Gilgit-Baltistan.
• A quota is reserved for minorities.

Registration and preliminary tests run together from 1 September to 23 November 2026 at Army Selection and Recruitment Centres across the country.
