- First-division bachelor's (16 years) in Economics, Finance, Commerce or Business Administration (Finance), or Chartered Accountant, from an HEC-recognised university
- Experience: at least 7 years', counted from the date of the prescribed qualification.
- The 7 years must be in accounts, finance, audit or financial management at a university, government department or autonomous body in BPS-17 or equivalent.
- Upper age limit 38.

- Apply online for the post, then pay the non-refundable test fee through 1Link using the deposit slip the site generates. Keep the stamped slip.
- ETEA sends an SMS when roll number slips are ready; the slip gives the test date, time and venue.
