Deputy / Assistant Manager Projects

What the job is

Once a project is approved, this engineer makes sure LWMC pays the right amount for the right work. It is a numbers-and-drawings job with regular site visits.

• Prepare and verify detailed BOQs and quantity take-offs.
• Estimate civil works using MRS rates and detailed rate analysis.
• Read, review and prepare AutoCAD drawings; assess RCC, steel, masonry, roads and drainage.
• Draft technical specifications and tender documents.
• Measure work at site and review contractors' rates, variations and claims.
• Track progress, quality, cost and schedule, and keep project records.

Eligibility

• Bachelor's in civil engineering (16 years) from an HEC-recognised university.
• Registration with the Pakistan Engineering Council.
• 3 to 7 years in civil construction, infrastructure, estimation, consultancy, contracting or public-sector projects.
• Maximum age 35.

General terms and conditions

• LWMC grades staff on its own management scale: M-6 is a manager, M-7/8 a deputy or assistant manager.
• Posts advertised as DM / AM are filled as Deputy or Assistant Manager depending on experience.
• Age is counted up to the closing date.
• Bring original documents and attested copies of degrees (attested by the HEC or the relevant body), CNIC and other documents to the interview.
• Applicants already in government, semi-government or autonomous service must apply through proper channel with a No Objection Certificate (NOC).
• Only shortlisted candidates are called for the test or interview, and no TA/DA is paid.
