One Assistant Manager (Meter Data Management) post on contract at GEPCO, Gujranwala, for its smart metering (AMI) programme: four-year CS, IT or software engineering degree and two years' experience. Age 21 to 33.

Manages the meter data management system that collects, validates and passes smart meter readings on for billing.

Eligibility

  • Four-year bachelor's or a master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Computer Software Engineering, recognised by HEC.
  • At least two years' experience in the relevant field.
  • Age 21 to 33 (five years' general relaxation already included); 43 for government, WAPDA and DISCO employees with two years' continuous service.

  1. Apply online on the NTS website (nts.org.pk), with a separate form for each post.
  2. Pay the candidate's share of the test fee, Rs 270 (GEPCO pays the other half; disabled candidates pay nothing), through 1Link, banks, Easypaisa, JazzCash or TCS.
  3. Apply by 23 October 2026; the portal closes at 11:59 pm. Roll number slips are posted on the NTS site a week before the test.

About this recruitment

Contract posts on a lump sum pay package, initially for three years and extendable on performance, on open merit; they will not be regularised. Candidates from all over Pakistan may apply, and selected staff serve within GEPCO's jurisdiction.

General instructions

  • Only eligible candidates sit the NTS written test; shortlisted candidates are called for interview.
  • Scheduled castes and Buddhists get three years' extra age relaxation.
  • Degrees must be complete with final transcripts by the closing date; results awaited do not count. CGPA transcripts need percentage marks from the university.
  • Government servants apply through proper channel and bring a NOC to the interview.
  • Dismissed employees and candidates with a criminal record are not eligible. No TA/DA is paid.
