HEC Gilgit-Baltistan undergraduate scholarship

Gilgit-Baltistan sends some of the country's brightest students down the Karakoram Highway every year, and many of them turn back because a degree in Islamabad, Lahore or Peshawar costs more than a family can carry. HEC's undergraduate scheme for GB is meant to change that: it funds a BS at the best public universities anywhere in Pakistan.

It is open to every student with a GB domicile who has finished HSSC, whatever their gender, caste, race or religion, and even to those already up to a year into a BS. Selection is a mix of your record and a test: 10% from SSC, 40% from HSSC and 50% from HEC's scholarship aptitude test, where you must score at least 50%. A test result stays valid for a year.

HEC publishes each year's merit list, and seats left empty by drop-outs carry over to the next year. You still win your own admission; the final award letter comes once you have it and have signed the agreement.

یہ جی بی ڈومیسائل والے ہر اس طالب علم کے لیے ہے جس نے ایچ ایس ایس سی مکمل کیا ہو، جنس، ذات، نسل یا مذہب سے قطع نظر، اور ان کے لیے بھی جو بی ایس کے پہلے سال تک پہنچ چکے ہیں۔ انتخاب ریکارڈ اور ٹیسٹ کا مجموعہ ہے: 10 فیصد ایس ایس سی، 40 فیصد ایچ ایس ایس سی اور 50 فیصد ایچ ای سی کا اسکالرشپ ایپٹیٹیوڈ ٹیسٹ، جس میں کم از کم 50 فیصد ضروری ہیں۔ ٹیسٹ کا نتیجہ ایک سال کار آمد رہتا ہے۔

ایچ ای سی ہر سال میرٹ لسٹ شائع کرتا ہے، اور چھوڑنے والوں کی خالی نشستیں اگلے سال میں شامل ہوتی ہیں۔ داخلہ آپ خود لیتے ہیں؛ داخلے اور معاہدے کے بعد حتمی ایوارڈ لیٹر ملتا ہے۔
